Instead of studying...

I decided to start on my portfolio site. I used Wix.com as a starting point. Click on the image to see the full site. I don't know if I'm going to use Wix.com in the final project but I do want my homepage to look like this. It's clean and simple. Oh, and green, which seals the deal.

As you can see, I used the same header that I have on this blog. I figured I should keep my themes consistent, since I'm trying to brand myself.

Right now my colors are green and white. As of right now, I think my business cards are going to mimic this header.

Happy birthday to me

I'm 22 today and I feel old. So, I thought it was only fitting to look back at some of the work I did throughout college. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of my work when my jump drive went missing. But I still have some stuff.

Examples:

I did this Website using HTML(of course), CSS and Javascript. We had to create a hangman site. You can use the keyboard to select the letters. Click on the image to play the game.

Considering I had no background experience with coding, I think it turned out pretty awesome. My first real Website ever. I'm working my portfolio site so stay tuned.

Ah, I can't leave out my News Editing class. We had to create a brochure for York County's Special Olympics organization and focus the content towards different groups involved with the organization. My focus was on the parents. I think they actually used our brochures.

Here's the inside:

And the outside:

I'll try to find my other flash drive so I can update more of my old work. But that's all for my "blast from the past" today.

The first of many

This will be my new blog for my schoolwork and other portfolio collections. I hope to update all my projects on here.

Right now I'm finishing up a flash project in which we have to animate a joke. My joke is about a nun who is taking a shower when suddenly someone rings the doorbell. She doesn't have any towels or clean clothes and is forced to see who it is at the door naked except for her head piece.

When she asks who it is, a guy answers, "The Blind Man." She peeks outside and and sees a man with sunglasses who indeed looks like a blind man. When she opens the door, however, the man lowers his sunglasses and says, "I'm here to change your blinds." He is holding a box of blinds in his hands.

Here's my nun drawing in its beginning stages. She will be tastefully naked in the final stage, however.
Keep in mind, I'm not the best illustrator on the planet.

Here is my nun traced on the computer using Adobe Illustrator.

And here is my blind guy. I'm pretty proud of him. He's simple but to the point.
I'll post the completed flash animation as soon as I'm finished.
